Treaty Dairy installed a new manure management system. The project will allow them to switch from sand bedding to recycled manure bedding. We are installing a new 24" flume through the existing facility, and a new manure building on the exterior. This exterior hoop building will house a slope screen manure separator. The project will then be completed with the remodeling of an existing concrete pit.

An old barn is revitalized into a new shop. With the installation of a Girder Truss system our farmer will be able to work on and store farm equipment. The system allowed us to incorporate a new overhead door for easy entrance and exit on the west side of the barn. A 192’ four row wood frame freestall barn with 156’ freestalls. The barn was built to discourage birds from nesting, thus the plywood style trusses. Birds can have a diverse effect on the profitability of dairies, so the key is, to dissuade the birds from coming in the first place. Once they have established themselves it is not an easy task to get them moved out.
